Big Bob

The Stonehenge Resident Scientist


Big Bob is Bob's father. He grew up in Independence, Missouri. During World war II he served as a tail gunner in a B-17 bomber in the Eighth Air Force based in England.

Big Bob meet his wife, Georgia in Independence where they both attended William Chrisman High School.

Big Bob had a career in passenger relations with Trans World Airlines in Kansas City, Missouri. After retirement Bob and Georgia moved to Grove, Oklahoma and later to Wichita, Kansas. Big Bob and Georgia came to Georgia after Bob, Jr. retired.

Big Bob now lives at Stonehenge Assisted Living in Blairsville, GA. He has many varied interestsincluding astronomy, microbiology, weather, biblical archeology and early Christianity, pre-Columbian history and archeology, observing ant colonies, mushrooms, computer, and history. He is known at Stonehenge as their Resident Scientist. At Stonehenge he is the editor of the Stonehenge newsletter, is an active member of the garden club, a regular participant in the group sings, Bible studies, bingo, and bus rides. Big Bob is a fan of NASCAR, particularly Kasey Kahne and Bill Elliott.
